CMS Cameron McKenna has made up 17 partners, all of whom join the new salaried office partner rung introduced last month as part of a shake-up of the partnership.
Camerons now has three levels of partnership, with the office partner role representing the first stage of progression for senior associates, followed by a three-year salaried gateway level before partners join the equity.
The office partner role has been used in eastern Europe for several years but this is the first year it has been introduced in the City.
Camerons was one of the last firms to abandon an all-equity model, introducing salaried partners in 2007. Last year, all of the 11 new partners made up in the promotions round entered the gateway tier.
This year, the London office was the biggest beneficiary of the promotions, with nine new partners compared with six in Central and Eastern Europe.
The corporate and commercial departments received the most promotions, with six new partners each. The firm also raised five office partners to the gateway tier.
