CMS Cameron McKenna has become the latest UK law firm to hire a prominent transfer pricing specialist, as firms continue to compete with the big four accountants to provide high-margin tax and economics advice.
Nick Foster Taylor, the former head of the UK arm of transfer pricing boutique Kelsham Global and a one-time managing director of independent financial advisory firm Duff & Phelps, joins Camerons today (7 December).
Foster Taylor will assume the newly created role of head of transfer pricing at the firm and will act as a consultant to the wider tax team.
The hire highlights the increasing importance of the combination of legal skills and transfer pricing capabilities at top law firms.
“The tax authorities are increasingly investigating legal relationships between companies,” said Foster Taylor.
