Camerons joins transfer pricing war

Nick Foster Taylor, the former head of the UK arm of transfer pricing boutique Kelsham Global and a one-time managing director of independent financial advisory firm Duff & Phelps, joins Camerons today (7 December).

Foster Taylor will assume the newly created role of head of transfer pricing at the firm and will act as a consultant to the wider tax team.

The hire highlights the increasing importance of the combination of legal skills and transfer pricing capabilities at top law firms.

“The tax authorities are increasingly investigating legal relationships between companies,” said Foster Taylor.

Earlier this year Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer became the first UK magic circle firm to bring in a transfer pricing specialist when it hired former Grant Thornton partner Danny Beeton as a consultant.

Last month the London office of international firm Baker & McKenzie also hired a specialist in this area, recruiting former Ernst & Young economist Nigel Dolman to join its transfer pricing practice.
