Camerons grows in Budapest

Cameron McKenna has opened a property practice in its Budapest office, Cameron McKenna Ormai.
The practice will be headed by partner Robert Porter and resident Hungarian partner Istvan Kovari.
Associate Colin Dixon, who recently joined Camerons from Addleshaw Booth & Co, has moved to Hungary to co-head the department.
Porter says: “The property sector in Budapest is now swinging into life.”
“We are establishing this new practice group firstly to cater for the major property development projects, but also to provide support for the growing amount of institutional investment coming into Hungary.”
“It is a sensible and logical step and further enhances our existing successful property practices in Warsaw and Prague, as well as complementing our international capabilities in corporate finance, banking, commercial and telecoms.”
Cameron McKenna Ormai has 15 lawyers, including 11 Hungarian lawyers. The office was set up in 1990.
