CMS Cameron McKenna has awarded three associates places at the IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland as part of its associate appraisal scheme.
London associates Adrian Bell and Dominic Harris and Bucharest senior associate Horia Draghici won places on the ’Building on Talent’ course, a foundation programme for the school’s Executive MBA. They begin the scheme this month.
In a note to staff managing partner Duncan Weston stated that the programme would “provide associates with insights into business fundamentals (finance, innovation, marketing, operations and strategy) and leadership”.
As part of the application process associates submitted plans for running the firm.
Camerons has a longstanding relationship with IMD thanks to Weston, who has a degree from the school.
The scheme follows the firm’s move to extend its ’Recognising High Performance’ scheme, which was introduced two years ago. In its second year it was tweaked to review associates’ competencies rather than just billable hours.
This year the firm fine-tuned the scheme to cover business competencies, including technical skill, strategic vision, sector knowhow, CSR and client relationships. The firm expects associates to generate three times their salary.
