Asset management company Cairn Capital has hired a senior lawyer from Banque AIG to lead its new legal team.
James Starky, formerly Banque AIG’s associate general counsel in charge of the European and Asian group covering derivatives, capital markets and structured finance, becomes Cairn’s first chief legal officer.
Starky was part of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft’s original London team prior to joining Banque AIG.
Paul Campbell, a director of Cairn, called Starky’s appointment a "huge advantage" for the group’s strategic development. Cairn was founded in August 2004.
