A Canterbury woman who claims she was not properly anaesthetised when her baby was delivered by caesarean is taking East Kent Health Authority to the High Court. Gillian Miles claims she was admitted to William Harvey Hospital in Willesborough, Ashford, Kent, for a caesarean section and was given an epidural injection. However, she claims she suffered pain throughout the caesarean both at the site of the epidural and when each and every stitch was carried out.
