Burness has ended a period of almost four years without a managing partner, introducing a complete new management structure. The Scottish firm has appointed Ian Wattie to the reinstated position of managing partner following a contested election last month. The firm has had no managing partner since the exit of Alan Stewart in 2002. Burness has also introduced a three-member governance and strategy board headed by chairman Philip Rodney, assisted by Wattie and a third member, to be elected later this month.
