Scottish firm Burness has won a new client in the shape of the Irvine Bay Urban Regeneration Company (URC).
This is the sixth URC the firm has worked with in Scotland. One of the first projects the firm, led by partner Stephen Phillips, will oversee for Irvine Bay is the development of Irvine Harbourside.
Burness is providing legal support to Irvine Bay in relation to the use of a European procurement process to select the preferred developer.
Phillips said: "Having created the initial structure for the Irvine Bay URC during 2006, we're delighted to announce that we will now be working on the ambitious projects planned by the URC, which should transform the North Ayrshire coastal area."
The Irvine Bay URC was set up at the end of last year and is the largest in terms of its land mass.
Its boundaries enclose an area of outstanding natural beauty spanning 14 miles of coastline.
