Burges Salmon appoints senior partner" />Bristol-based Burges Salmon has elected commercial property chief Stephen McNulty as its new senior partner. McNulty was appointed to the position at the firm's annual conference last month (January), replacing Bob Smyth, who will continue as a partner in the firm's property practice. McNulty, who has been at the regional firm since 1988, will officially take up the seniorpartner role on 1 May. McNulty will continue as chairman of Burges Salmon's partnership committee. At the conference partners also agreed to increase the length of term for the senior partner role from three to four years in a bid to avoid conflict during the handover with the managing partner role.
