Burges Salmon has advised AGM Holdings on the multimillion-pound takeover of Weston-super-Mare's most visible tourist attraction, the Grand Pier.
Burges Salmon's team was led by associate Camilla Usher-Clark, who worked with property partner Richard Read on the deal. She said: "Piers don't come up for sale very often and each has its unique features.
For example, the pier is a freehold constituted by the Weston-super-Mare Grand Pier Act 1932, yet it is unregistered as a freehold.
We're now going through that registration." Owned by brother and sister Kerry and Michelle Michael, AGM Holdings acquired the pier from a local family company owned by Rod and Paul Brenner.
Tim Summers, associate with Bristol firm Gregg Latchams, advised the sellers.
