Bryan Cave launches first French office

Bryan Cave has officially launched its Paris branch, following a three-partner raid on Dechert in July.
The office has been given approval by the Paris Bar Council and will open with former Dechert partners Kathie Claret, Jilali Maazouz and Joseph Smallhoover, along with five associates.
Bryan Cave chairman Don Lents said: “Our clients have a long history of legal needs in France, so the addition of a Paris office was a natural choice.” Claret is a corporate partner, Maazouz a litigator and Smallhoover specialises in funds work.
This will be Bryan Cave’s first office in the country.
