Midlands firm Browne Jacobson has launched a specialist emergency services group for 'blue light' clients in the fire, ambulance and police services. The new team will seek to align 35 lawyers practising property, employment, commercial, property litigation and liability law. The group is led by environmental and governance partner Richard Barlow, who explained that emergency services faced specialist needs, including 24-hour access, 'CBRN' planning for chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear attack, and emergency services legislation. Relevant clients include the East Midlands, Warwickshire and Lincolnshire ambulance trusts, the Staffordshire and Leicestershire constabularies and five fire authorities.
