US firm Brown Rudnick has hired the head of Addleshaw Goddard's corporate restructuring and insolvency group for its London office.
Louise Verrill, who joins the firm as a partner, is experienced in EU regulatory matters and has advised on a number of primary and secondary insolvency cases across Europe.
Verrill said: "I'm very excited. I really want to focus on international insolvency and this is where Brown Rudnick's strengths are. In the States the firm has a large hedge fund advisory practice. This is where the focus is here."
Verrill added that Brown Rudnick's restructuring team, which currently consists of two partners and one associate, will be recruiting heavily in London during the next year.
A spokesman for Addleshaws said Verrill was leaving with the firm's best wishes.
