Brodies tempts back Norton Rose Fulbright partner for competition team

Scottish firm Brodies has expanded its competition and regualtory team with the appointment of Norton Rose Fulbright partner Rod Lambert.

Lambert was one of five UK-based partners at legacy Fulbright & Jaworski who did not join the UK LLP when the US firm merged with Norton Rose earlier this year (10 June 2013). He was co-head of the legacy firm’s global antitrust and competition group and worked in the US as well as London.

The appointment, which takes effect on 1 November, marks the return of Scottish-born Lambert to Brodies, where he began his career as a bar apprentice. His experience lies in litigation matters such as cartel defence and antitrust compliance.

The hire brings the number of lawyers in Brodies’ competition and regulatory team to nine.

Brodies managing partner Bill Drummond said Lambert’s hire would be a boost for the firm’s clients in regulated industries such as energy and pharmaceuticals.
