Scottish firm Brodies has promoted six associates to its partnership, bettering last year’s figure of five.
Property has been the most heavily promoted practice area, gaining three new partners, with litigation, projects and employment receiving one new partner each.
Managing partner Bill Drummond said: “As always, recruiting, rewarding and developing our legal resource is fundamental to the success and growth of the firm.
“We are delighted to announce these promotions and appointments in line with our ongoing strategy to place legal talent precisely where it’s needed ahead of the market, to best serve the needs of our clients.
“Recruiting within the Scottish market and bringing great lawyers back to Scotland will continue to be a key tactic in delivering our client-focused strategies."
The promotions, which follow the lateral hire of insolvency partner Rachel Grant, bring the firm’s partnership to 61. As revealed by The Lawyer (28 April), Grant has joined the firm from Semple Fraser.
