Brobeck sues Clifford Chance and Snow for $100m

Clifford Chance and West Coast partner Tower Snow are being sued by legions of former Brobeck Phleger & Harrison partners and staff in an extraordinary suit seeking $100m in damages.

Snow, the former chairman at Brobeck, which this year buckled under million of dollars of debt, is, along with CC, facing a litany of claims.

They include breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition and tortious interference with a contract.

Denying the claims, CC said in a statement: "We have undertaken an initial review of the allegations in the complaint. The allegations are without merit.

“We find the notion that Clifford Chance is responsible for the collapse of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison to be absurd. We believe we acted appropriately in our dealings with Brobeck and with the former Brobeck partners who joined Clifford Chance. We will defend ourselves vigorously against this complaint."
