Bristows’ top dog quits after forty years” />Bristows senior partner David Brown has retired after 40 years at the firm. He will be replaced by real estate partner Michael Rowles. IP specialist Brown became senior partner in 2002. He represented Rockwater in its High Court patent dispute with Coflexip in 2003 and took several patent cases to the Lords, including Glaxo v Generics and Novartis v American Home Products. Rowles joined Bristows in 1974 and is the firm’s longest-serving partner.
