Bristows has poached dispute resolution partner Mark Brown from Finers Stephens Innocent in an effort to expand its commercial litigation team.
Bristows joint managing partner Paul Walsh said Brown would complement the other lawyers on the commercial litigation team and his work on financial disputes would be particularly valuable.
“There’s quite a big financial aspect to his dispute resolution practice,” he said. “A big part of our litigation disputes team has a technical focus or IP focus, so he will be a nice addition to the team.”
Finers Stephens Innocent head of commercial litigation Philip Rubens said Brown left on good terms: “He left with our very best wishes. He’s been working with me for a number of years.”
Rubens said Brown would be replaced but no-one had been currently appointed to his position.
