Bristol's TLT records 42 per cent PEP increase

TLT Solicitors has become the first of the Bristol-headquartered firms to announce its financial results and it has had a remarkable year.

Provisional PEP shot up 42 per cent to £300,000 from last year’s £210,000 while turnover increased by 34 per cent to £28.75m up from £21.5m.

Managing partner David Pester told The Lawyer: ““TLT's growth and development has been carefully planned, what we are seeing now are the results of a targeted strategy focused on clients as well as significant investment in people and infrastructure.”

Part of the rise can be attributed to the firm’s merger last year with 11- partner London boutique Lawrence Jones which at the time had a turnover of £3m.

The firm’s headcount has also risen dramatically with 23 per cent growth. New partner hires include banking litigator Charles Spragge from CMS Cameron McKenna.

The firm is organised along sector lines and its financial services and leisure and retail groups have performed particularly strongly. It also won places on Barclays panel for litigation and corporate recovery.
