What could the government’s care reforms mean for you?

Earlier this year, the government announced that it would drastically reform care funding to remove the uncertainty and fear caused by unlimited care costs and ensure that individuals receive the care and support they need as soon as they need it.

There is concern that the fear of unlimited care costs and the uncertainty over eligibility for financial support means that individuals defer making decisions regarding their care needs until their health has deteriorated to such an extent they need more complex and expensive care.

It is hoped that the implementation of a clear system of funding will allow individuals to seek local authority services earlier, make informed decisions about their care and plan how they will pay for it in advance…
