The Grocery Code Adjudicator Act 2013
The Grocery Code Adjudicator Act 2013 came into force on 25 June 2013, formally establishing the role of the Grocery Code Adjudicator. The adjudicator will oversee the implementation and enforcement of the Grocery Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP), which came into force in February 2010 and imposes legally binding obligations on the UK’s 10 largest supermarket retailers — principally those with an annual turnover of £1bn.
