SafeWork Australia releases draft amendment to the Model Code of Practice on Managing Risks in Construction
SafeWork Australia has released draft amendments to the Model Code of Practice on Managing Risks in Construction Work. The draft amendments are open for public comment until 2 October 2013.
The Model Code of Practice on Managing Risks in Construction Work was originally released in September 2011. The code is intended to be a first point of reference for people conducting construction work in areas covered by the nationalised Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations (WHS law), which currently includes the Commonwealth, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
SafeWork Australia announced the draft changes to the code on 30 August 2013 for a six-week public consultation period…
