New 2013 rates and limits for employment claims and payments
The new limits on employment tribunal awards and on statutory payments for 2013 have been announced. Increases to maximum awards in employment tribunal cases have been announced:
- A week’s pay will rise to £450 (from £430)
- The maximum basic award and statutory redundancy payment will rise to £13,500 (from £12,900)
- The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will rise to £74,200 (from £72,300)
