Licensing hours during the FIFA World Cup 2014

The Home Office is currently conducting a consultation on the relaxation of licensing hours during this year’s FIFA World Cup from 13 March to 26 March 2014.
The question raised by the consultation is whether the government should relax the hours in June and July of this year. The alternative would be for businesses to apply for individual temporary event notices, which give local police and environmental health officers discretion to extend the hours on a case-by-case basis…
