Government consults on consolidating pensions disclosure requirements
On 18 February 2013, the government published a consultation on draft regulations aimed at consolidating and harmonising pensions disclosure requirements. A key element of the proposed harmonisation is the replacement of the Occupational Pension Schemes (Disclosure of Information) Regulations 1996 and the Personal Pension Schemes (Disclosure of Information) Regulations 1987 with a single set of regulations, with the requirements for occupational and personal pension schemes harmonised as far as possible. The regulations are expected to come into force on 1 October 2013.
