Brands Update: medieval knight saves the day for Panini

The EU General Court, upholding an OHIM Board of Appeal decision, has dismissed an opposition to Panini SpA’s Community trademark (CTM) application for the PANINI figurative mark for, among other things, beers and non-alcoholic drinks. The opposition was based on registrations for the word mark GRANINI for goods including non-alcoholic beverages, fruit drinks and fruit juices.
