2013–14 UK employment developments
Things were more straightforward when employment developments were scheduled to come into force twice a year (April and October). This year has been far less predictable with numerous proposals promised and then postponed or delayed, and legislation being introduced on random dates such as 25 June and 29 July. Very significant changes have occurred or are about to take place in areas such as redundancy consultation, whistleblowing, tribunal procedure rules and TUPE.
