Addleshaw Booth & Co's senior partner Paul Lee is to be the first ever lawyer chairman of the North West regional CBI. He will take up the post of vice chairman in November and will become chairman a year later.
The appointment of Lee (pictured far right with the CBI's Chris Clifford in front of Addleshaws soon-to-be-opened new Manchester office) is particularly notable as senior posts in the CBI are nearly always taken by captains of industry rather than service industry bosses.
