Brick Court Chambers is the leading set at the UK Bar with 81 barristers specialising in commercial, EU/competition and public law. The chambers has a strong reputation in all areas with particular expertise in banking and finance, insurance, and shipping work. The joint heads of chambers are Jonathan Hirst QC and Nicholas Green QC while the joint senior clerks are Ian Moyler and Julian Hawes.

Jonathan Hirst QC is highly regarded for his banking and finance, insurance and competition practice while Mark Hapgood QC is also prominent in commercial litigation. Hilary Heilbron QC has a strong international arbitration practice; Peter Irvin is the set’s most senior junior barrister practicing in commercial law with expertise in banking, insurance and competition.

Nicholas Green QC specialises in EU and competition law, while David Anderson QC and Richard Gordon QC are both leading silks in the same area.

There were four new silks from Brick Court Chambers in 2013. Andrew Henshaw QC, Jasbir Dhillon QC and Roger Masefield QC all work in the commercial practice while Martin Chamberlain QC specialises in public and human rights law.
