French firm Bredin Prat has made a rare lateral hire, luring the head of the employment department at the Paris office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
Pascale Lagesse has led the French employment practice at Freshfields since 2000, and her hire is part of the launch of an employment group at Bredin Prat, the French best friend of Slaughter and May
Lagesse will join Bredin Prat at the beginning of October, bringing with her a practice focused on employment law, collective bargaining, labour relations and restructurings.
She has become the latest in a series of top level departures from Freshfields' Paris office over the past few years. At the end of last year DLA Piper plucked finance partner Veronique Collin from the magic circle firm's French base.
