Brabners cuts 15 jobs at end of consultation

Brabners Chaffe Street has completed a second redundancy consultation which has seen 15 members of staff lose their jobs.

The North West firm launched a review of a number of positions in February with the redundancies affecting fee earners and support staff.

Both the Liverpool and Manchester offices experienced cuts, with the Preston office unaffected.

The firm offered the statutory minimum redundancy package and managing partner Michael Brabner said it also provided help finding jobs for those concerned.

An additional two members of staff were redeployed into new roles within the firm.

This brings the total number of redundancies at the firm since the start of the downturn to 23, following eight job losses last summer.

The firm has a total of 350 members of staff, including 63 partners.
