GDL: Graduate Diploma in Law (full-time, part-time and distance learning)
BPP’s GDL provides a valuable introduction to legal practice. Taught using a practical approach, we provide a one-hour tutorial to every one-hour lecture - the best ratio of any leading provider. Our GDL is the only programme in the country to feature an optional Company Law programme and ‘GDL Extra’ - your opportunity to specialise early. Although competition for places at BPP is intense, our GDL graduates are guaranteed a place on BPP’s LPC and intending barristers can apply to join our BVC. In addition, you have the opportunity to upgrade your GDL to an LLB by completing two additional modules.

LPC: Legal Practice Course (full-time and part-time)
Our LPC is designed to prepare you for practice. Taught by experienced solicitors, you will benefit from a programme designed in close collaboration with leading law firms and a range of electives ensuring you can study the areas of practice most important to you. Our LPC reflects the growing role of lawyers as business advisers and contains ‘MBA-style’ training in business and finance. In addition, you have the opportunity to upgrade your LPC to an LLM in Professional Legal Practice by completing two practice-based projects.

BVC: Bar Vocational Course (full-time and part-time)
Offered in Leeds and London, our BVC is highly regarded by the profession and is designed to prepare you for a career at the Bar. Studying the BVC at BPP will allow you to develop the essential skills of drafting, legal research, opinion writing, advocacy, conference and negotiation. These skills will be refined in groups as small as six students alongside practising barristers, who act as your opponents in mock trials and final assessments. In addition, you have the opportunity to upgrade your BVC to an LLM in Professional Legal Practice by completing two practice-based projects.

LLB and LLB in Business Law*, LLM in Commercial Law and LLM in International Business Law (full-time and part-time)
BPP offers taught LLMs in Commercial Law and International Business Law - ideal if you wish to work in these specialist practice areas.
