Boyes Turner

Turnover (£m): 13.8
RPL (£k): 197

Estimates suggest that turnover at Reading-based Boyes Turner dipped slightly from £14m in 2009-10 to approximately £13.8m last year. Despite this the firm’s industrial disease group remained active. The group focuses on high-end personal injury work such as mesothelioma and asbestos litigation. One of the most recent cases during the past year saw the group assist 170 pleural plaque sufferers with the recovery of £850,000 of compensation.

Isabel Davies joined as a partner in the commercial and technology group from CMS Cameron McKenna, while IP partner Sarah Hadland came in from Pitmans. These hires brought the partnership headcount to 26.

At the beginning of October this year the firm will convert into an LLP. The existing Boyes Turner partnership will remain responsible for work carried out before
1 October 2011.
