Boutros-Ghali prize

Outgoing UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali is to be presented with an award by the New York State Bar Association. Boutros-Ghali will receive the distinction, an International Law and Affairs Award, during the association's annual meeting on 22 January in Manhattan. The award recognises Boutros-Ghali's "contribution to international law" and the NYSBA describes him as "a true internationalist". Previous recipients include Lech Walesa and US Secretary of State Cyrus Vance.
