Boutique ransacks CC for pensions boost

Niche pensions firm Sacker & Partners has poached a senior Clifford Chance associate as part of a concerted recruitment drive.

Sarah Phillips has worked for the magic circle firm’s pensions team since qualifying in 2001. Her experience includes pensions litigation, trustee and employer advisory work and transactional work.

Sacker senior partner Ian Pittaway said: “Given the complexity of the pensions landscape, the need for expert advice has never been more vital. Sarah’s appointment is part of a concerted recruitment drive from Sackers to meet continued demand for our services.”

Sackers is one of the leading pensions boutiques. It boasts a total of 47 pensions lawyers, 23 of whom are partners.

Clifford Chance declined to comment.
