The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
A trio of European firms have announced their annual partner promotions, with a focus in all three on corporate and litigation practices.
Austrian firm Wolf Theiss has promoted three lawyers to partner in its Viennese headquarters. Corporate lawyers Christian Oehner and Harald Stingl together with arbitration specialist Florian Haugeneder are all made up.
In Italy Slaughter and May’s best friend Bonelli Erede Pappalardo has promoted four associates and two salaried partners to equity partner.
The firm has also continued the partnership structure shake-up it began earlier this year by shortening its lockstep from 14 to 10 years. In January Bonelli scrapped the position of junior equity partner, although it retained a small number of salaried partners. That role will now be scrapped.
The six promotions are all in the firm’s Milan office. Andrea Manzitti and Riccardo Ubaldini both specialise in tax. Angelo Bonetta becomes a partner in the firm’s international commercial litigation team, alongside public and administrative law specialist Domenico Ielo.
The two former salaried partners promoted are corporate lawyer Stefano Micheli and banking and finance partner Giuseppe Rumi. The promotions mean Bonelli now has 60 partners in total.
Fellow Italian independent Chiomenti Studio Legale has made up seven associates to partner. The Milan office gains five new partners - corporate lawyers Simone Bernard de la Gatinais, Federica Calmi and Corrado Canziani, corporate arbitrator Filippo Corsini and litigator Sebastiano Zimmitti.
In Rome tax litigator Marco Di Siena is made up, while Chiomenti has also promoted corporate lawyer Sara Marchetta in its Beijing office.
