Bond Pearce snares Bevan IP/IT chief

South West firm Bond Pearce has poached the head of IP and IT from regional rival Bevan Brittan.

Gareth Jones will head Bond Pearce’s Bristol-based commercial and IT team.

Jones has advised on technology transfer and commercial transactions in the private and public sectors and has experience assisting NHS organisations with their IP rights. He has also acted for public sector clients on IT procurement projects in local and central government.

Jones’s appointment brings the total number of partners at Bond Pearce to 67.

The firm has also bagged two new lawyers for its Southampton corporate finance team.

Ian Holden has joined as an associate from local firm Lamport Bassitt, while Jonathan Lamb has joined as an assistant from Beachcroft, where he has worked since qualifying in 2002.
