Commercial law firm Bond Pearce has appointed Bristol-based banking and restructuring partner Victor Tettmar as managing partner following the decision by Simon Richardson to step down after seven years in the post.
Mr Tettmar, who has spent his professional career with the firm, has been a board member at Bond Pearce and was previously vice president of the Insolvency Lawyers Association.
The change will take effect from 1 February next year, bringing Richardson’s seven-year stint as managing partner to an end.
Richardson said he was stepping down as the firm continued to expand.
“The last seven years have been extremely rewarding but as the firm enters its next phase of development, including the opening of our new Bristol offices at Temple Quay next year, I think the time is right for me to step aside and I will enjoy a fresh challenge,” he said.
“In handing over the reins to Victor Tettmar, I am confident that the firm will continue to go from strength to strength under his leadership.”
Richardson will take over over as head of employment and will play a lead role in helping the firm manage major client relationships.
