Bond Dickinson makes up four in all-female promotions round

Bond Dickinson has made up four associates to partner in the second promotions round since the 1 May 2013 merger between Bond Pearce and Dickinson Dees.

All four of this year’s new partners are women. Last year (8 May 2013) the firm unveiled six new partners as its merger went live. In 2012, Bond Pearce made up five partners (2 May 2012) while Dickinson Dees promoted just one in Newcastle (16 May 2012).

Real estate gains two partners, Bristol-based Katherine Douglas and Southampton lawyer Verity Waington. Emma Moody in the Newcastle charities team and London-based communications and technology lawyer Emma Wright are also made up.

The promotions follow a number of lateral hires for Bond Dickinson over the last six months, including Walker Morris IP partner Patrick Cantrill (14 January 2014), Osborne Clarke private wealth partners Robert Drewett and Mark Woodward, and Kennedys insurance partner Hannah Cane.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen oil and gas partner Kenny Paton moved to South African firm Webber Wentzel (6 March 2014).
