Baker & McKenzie has bolstered its Frankfurt office with the recruitment of debt and securitisation partner Mark Odenbach.
Odenbach previously ran a boutique law firm in London, which offered advice on German regulatory law and prior to that he was at the London office of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood.
The US firm has a very credible banking and finance practice in Germany, particularly in acquisition finance and securitisation. Bakers also lists syndicated loans, project finance and high-value leasing among its core services in Germany.
Rainer Magol, head of banking and finance in Frankfurt said: “Mark’s background in complex syndicated loans and bonds, CP conduit transactions, credit derivatives and innovative collateralised debt obligations, further strengthens our existing banking & finance practice in Germany.”
