Berwin Leighton Paisner's (BLP) IT outsourcing team has scooped another e-Government contract. The firm was instructed by the London Borough of Southwark to advise on a £30m contract with ITNET. Head of IT outsourcing Amanda Lewis led the BLP team. ITNET, represented by Victoria Roche from its in-house legal department, will provide the borough with information communications technology services. Lewis said that it was an interesting development in IT outsourcing for the contract to include the borough's commitments to the "modernising Government agenda". The Southwark work is the fourth e-government contract awarded to the team this year. Others include the Council Connect project for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and work worth £350m involving Kent County Council . A further two deals are in the pipeline.
