Since stunning the legal market with his move to BLP in December 2004, MacGregor has raided the magic circle firm for his two most trusted colleagues, former Clifford Chance securitisation star Paul Severs and, in the latest move, the firm's joint head of real estate litigation Wendy Miller.
BLP managing partner Neville Eisenberg told The Lawyer: "The hire is an opportunity to advance our market-leading real estate disputes capability."
Miller joins BLP as a partner. She will lead the real estate disputes practice alongside existing head Roger Cohen, overseeing five other partners.
She will be reunited with MacGregor and Severs, a real estate securitisation partner at Clifford Chance and subsequently European general counsel of Financial Guarantee Insurance Company.
Miller specialises in risk management and avoidance on high-level complex commercial property transactions. Her last day at Clifford Chance, after 20 years with the firm, will be 29 September.
The hire boosts BLP's real estate disputes team, which can name Tesco, Legal & General, UBS and Hammerson among its clients, to five partners.
BLP also recruited securitisation partner Tamara Box from Lovells in May.
