Barlow Lyde & Gilbert (BLG) is expanding its reinsurance expertise with the appointment of two barristers.
Leigh Williams joins the firm this month from Slaughter and May, where he spent five years as a barrister. Prior to that he practised from leading insurance set 7 King’s Bench Walk. Tim Kenefick will arrive at BLG in January 2006 directly from 7 King’s Bench Walk.
Both Kenefick and Williams will requalify as solicitors in the near future. They have worked with BLG in the past as counsel.
Colin Croly, head of BLG’s reinsurance department, said that the hires were a tribute to the quality of the lawyers already in the team.
