BLG financial services head quits for Taylor Wessing

Strong’s departure follows that of regulatory partner Ian Mason, who left BLG’s financial services group to join Baker & McKenzie in March (22 March 2010). Strong had been named head of the new practice in November 2009.

For Taylor Wessing the hire is part of a move to grow its financial services disputes and contentious regulatory offering.

The firm’s financial disputes head Shane Gleghorn said: “This is an important development for Taylor Wessing and underlines both the strength of our firm and, more particularly, our growing reputation in relation to financial services litigation.

“Tim’s highly regarded in the market and has an enviable reputation of acting in significant financial disputes and regulatory investigations.”
