Reading firm Blandy & Blandy has bolstered its corporate and technology practice with the appointment of insolvency expert David Few from local rival Clarks. The hire comes as the prospect of economic recession appears to be looming closer.
Company and commercial lawyer Few says: "Obviously there's concern that things are going to change. People are being more cautious. In a very proactive way lawyers are trying to assist clients in preparing for anything unforeseen that economic conditions might bring about. It's important to be proactive and creative in approaching these difficulties."
Few's arrival brings Blandy & Blandy's partner count up to 13, with six partners in corporate and commercial. Head of corporate and technology Philip Tranter says: "Our expansion is part of a plan to offer greater coverage in corporate, e-business, IT and technology issues."
