Reading firm Blandy & Blandy has recruited a new head of commercial property to take over from Kate Taylor, who is stepping down to become a full-time consultant.
Jane Gunnell joins as a partner at the end of April from Reading-based commercial firm Clarks.
Gunnell, who is expected to bring clients with her, has strong contacts within the property market and a particular expertise in VAT on property work. She is the third lateral hire to be made at Blandys in the last 12 months, following the arrival of commercial litigation partner Jacques Smith in July 2000 and insolvency partner David Few in February this year. Her appointment brings the number of commercial property partners to two and the total number of partners to 14.
"There's been steady organic growth across commercial and we're extremely well placed for further expansion," says corporate and technology head Philip Tranter.
