Blake Lapthorn Linnell completes internal review

Recently merged Blake Lapthorn Linnell has completed a shake-up of its practice groups, introducing a sector-focused strategy to its business.

The restructure, implemented a year after the tie-up between Southampton based-Blake Lapthorn and Oxford’s Linnells, means lawyers will work with industry-focused groups such as construction, retail and IP/IT.

Since the merger, Blake Lapthorn Linnell has been through a period of change including the loss of partners such as corporate rainmaker Sean Wright, who joined Shoosmiths’ Solent office in April.

The firm has also spun off its Fareham-based children and education group, which now operates as a separate entity, called The Children’s Legal Practice.
