Blake Lapthorn has re-elected its senior partner Jonathan Lloyd-Jones for a further three-year term.
Lloyd-Jones made partner in 1990 in the firm’s litigation practice, where he specialises in construction, professional negligence and contract disputes. He also practices as a commercial mediator.
Lloyd-Jones is based mostly in the firm's Oxford office and first took the part-time senior partner post in 2005, having joined the firm in 1988.
The firm recently consolidated its Southampton offices into one location and rebranded from Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons. Lloyd-Jones said that the rebranding and consolidation of the offices had reinvigorated the firm.
Like a number of other regional firms, Blake Lapthorn has made a number of redundancies in recent months, laying off 43 people due to its dependence on property work.
