  • Another classic case of London v The Provinces. Get over it! Chaisty is First Class and happens to operate (principally) out of Manchester and Leeds. The comments, however, regarding Judge Hegarty's professional integrity are, I suspect, a step too far.......

  • Here here 19 July 2010 post @ 10.26am. As a previous City lawyer who now works in the North, I am sick and tired of the "provincial lawyer stereotype" that City lawyers love to hype up. When I came North I was impressed by the calibre of lawyers here and my City ego was soon put to bed for good (shame on me). The North can rival the quality of services in London, at a much better price - so look around a bit for more if you're an in-houser listening to this. As for Norther circuit judge bias, pull the other one it's got bells on it.

There will always be individuals who buck trends (in both directions) but, no, the quality of services in the North (or any of the provinces for that matter) cannot be compared to the talent and skill set in the City.

  • Disagree Mr Biased. You have not been outside London. Appreciate you need to maintain the myth to justify your fees though.
